I want to thank everyone for staying around and checking it in to see if things were up and running. It is now and I hope it will be for a long, long time!

Mission Statement
Tampa Bay Pets Online is an aggregate of the many pet events and organizations in all eight counties of Tampa Bay. We strive to present events to the community in a timely manner so pet people can plan and share in the many offerings by shelter and rescue organizations. Tampa Bay Pets Online is designed to unite pet people with pet organizations, and to promote a thriving community for both people and pets.

About Jobi Harris, Founder
Over the years, I have become more and more interested in the animal shelter community. As a freelance writer, I was involved in writing about the shelters and rescue organizations in Tampa Bay and that evolved into writing about pet events in our community.

I met several volunteers and leaders of the animal shelters in my own little burg, but when I started cataloging the events, I was amazed at the number of activities going on in the entire Tampa Bay area. I learned more about the organizations, the volunteers, and the energy, love, and dedication they put into rescued and homeless animals. Their passion is undeniable.

In my travels throughout the eight counties of Tampa Bay, I meet wonderful people dedicated to the adoption of homeless animals. Pet events in our community offer education, fun, and new friendships. Pack up the family and explore some of the events across the pond, and make wonderful memories for everyone.

Writing for pets is a natural path for me. Animals have always been a part of my life and I value my connection to them. As a watercolor artist, I have spent many years painting pet portraits for friends and clients. I also co-created a website with my cat Fisher, whose inspiration will always be with me.

This is an exciting endeavor for me and I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions. Our community does so much for the animals less fortunate than the pets we have welcomed into our homes. We are all in this together, and together we can make a difference to one animal or one volunteer at a time.
